IJS Continues Blended Learning

Infant Jesus School continues on the use and development of the best practices of blended learning for the 2nd quarter of the school year 2022-2023. This is after DepEd allowed private schools to offer blended learning modality to students.

As IJS remains true to its commitment to providing quality education, the FLEXible Learning Program is adopted which strategically combines the best of online and in-person learning to cater to the needs of IJSian learners. Since blended classrooms can be difficult to plan and facilitate, teachers undergo a series of training to further enhance their understanding.

Considering the result of the conducted survey, the school transitioned to 70% On-site Face-to-Face and 30% Online on Nov 7. Aside from the 3/4-day F2F classes, students must attend to their synchronous class via Google Meet and asynchronous activities via Google Classroom. Thus, the importance of technology is being emphasized.

The fact that online learning is here to stay, the importance of blended classrooms in the 21st century context becomes clear. In this hyper-connected society, both physical and virtual learning spaces must be used and improved, and utilized effectively.
